John
Menzzasalma, Manager Web Training/Media Production, shared how he learned about
IntelliBoard and its subsequent implementation:
I passed by your
[booth] at the last MoodleMoot, and I was so impressed with what I saw and what
IntelliBoard can do. It was definitely a turnkey for us; previously we’d been
[relying on a single] internal developer.
Since we've been using
IntelliBoard...it's everything that we need [for] reporting. As far as
usability and everything that it has to offer, it's been great for us. As a
matter of fact, I was just at our Sharp National Dealer meeting and I
demonstrated it to all of our dealers in the room; a huge success.
It's easy, and it gives
me everything I need. Recently, we created a [second LMS instance] and
connected IntelliBoard. This one, known internally as SharpSmart, is for our
new product sales training. We have a Windows collaboration display from Sharp
and a new software package called Synappx. We use the IntelliBoard notification
center to create notifications for sales reps who complete (or don’t) the
training for the new products. [I appreciate] the flexibility: do we want to
send it daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly? We have options.
My favorite report is
‘Learner Success and Progress,’ because it’s my favorite report on
IntelliBoard. It's easy, and it gives me everything [at a glance].
[Since starting
IntelliBoard] we changed the structure of our learning delivery. After
reviewing some of the reports and the information, we are doing more of the
SCORM packages. [This enables us to] get more feedback from IntelliBoard on
that particular SCORM package. Depending on how long the [SCORM] presentation
is, if [the rep] didn't spend enough time in it or didn't spend the actual time
required within that SCORM package, we can see this data through IntelliBoard.
On the service side, we’ve changed the delivery of the modules to fit the
schedules of our service folks. We review the amount of time they spend in a
section and we work to adjust our course to that timing. If someone fails a
course, we can review and balance the time they spent [with the material] and
provide their service manager feedback. If, for example, we’ve estimated an
x-minute completion time—and they spend 20% of that time in the course— we can
provide feedback about how to complete it properly.
IntelliBoard is user-friendly, aesthetic, and our client support is nothing short of spectacular. We'll help to identify specific reports and analytics for your most immediate needs and partner with you for future ones.
