As a retired Information Technology Director for a public safety organization and current Instructional Designer for Guilford Technical Community, Dr. Anita McCoy brings a wealth of experience in Information Technology and education to our panel discussion. Dr. McCoy has made significant contributions as an instructional designer at Guilford Tech. Here, she applies her extensive IT knowledge to develop innovative and engaging learning experiences for students. Dr. McCoy is also a certified online instructor. In addition to her role at Guilford Tech, Dr. McCoy serves as an adjunct instructor, further showcasing her commitment to fostering learning and development in others.
With a deep understanding of both the technological and educational sectors, Dr. McCoy is uniquely positioned to provide valuable insights on utilizing analytical tools to enhance learning experiences and operational efficiency.

For the past ten years, he has worked for Pasco eSchool, one of Florida’s largest and most well-known Virtual schools. Working with IntelliBoard over the past 5 years has been a source of excitement in providing data for teachers and giving them a place to enter communication which is vital for a virtual program’s success.

Roberta M. Nava joined Academic Technology at NMSU in 2022 as an Enterprise Instructional Technology Administrator. She is a co-administrator for Canvas, co-administrator for Watermark CES (NMSU’s enterprise course evaluation software) and lead administrator for Intelliboard and EAB Navigate. Roberta received her bachelor’s degree in computer information systems from The University of Texas at Brownsville. She also holds a Master of Business Administration from NMSU, emphasizing business information systems, and a Graduate Certificate in Online Teaching and Learning. Roberta is pursuing a Master of Education in Educational Learning Technology at NMSU.
